Born and raised in a small town in Western Kentucky, Clay Edwards always knew that he wanted to do something with his life and that the small town wasn’t big enough for him. Very active throughout high school, he always pushed the limit for more. His senior year he was one of only three people in the history of the Future Business Leaders of America to hold an office at all four levels (local, regional, state and national), and graduated with honors.
Having never met a stranger and “never shutting up,” he knew that a future dealing closely with the public was the route he wanted to take, so he decided to attend Murray State University and major in public relations. During his time at Murray State, he became a member of Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity, was selected as one of the Who’s Who of the Humanities/Fine Arts Department, was a national member of the Phi Beta Lambda retention committee and was an officer of his residential college’s executive board.
Music is not only a passion of Clay’s, but it's also his life. As a small child and throughout his life, music has played an integral part. It started with Rock ‘n Roll oldies being introduced by his parents while they were driving down the road in the car. He then became involved in his high school band program for five years as a percussionist. Through this love of music, he had the opportunity to go tour two summers with Drum Corp International’s Madison Scouts and Carolina Crown.
After graduating from Murray State with a degree in Public Relations, Edwards moved to Nashville and quickly landed a job with one of the music industry’s top public relations and marketing firms.
Always pushing the limit he left the company in the summer of 2009 and along with one of Nashville’s most trusted and well-respected entertainment figures, they founded Clay Edwards Public Relations (formerly All Access Entertainment). The firm specializes in public relations and social media and has had clients appear on over 20 reality shows including America’s Got Talent, American Idol, The Real Housewives, X-Factor, Hell’s Kitchen, Survivor, MasterChef, WAGS, America’s Next Top Model, and TLC.
